Rezibase began with two passionate respiratory scientists: Peter Rochford and the late Jeff Pretto. Both had spent decades in the field and saw the same thing—labs struggling with clunky software, device lock-in, and systems that didn’t keep up with evolving standards. They knew scientists needed something better: a system that worked the way labs actually operate.

After Jeff’s passing, Peter carried the vision forward. He built Rezibase into a flexible, vendor-neutral platform designed specifically for respiratory and sleep labs. Backed by real-world research, Rezibase made complex calculations simple, kept compliance easy through configuration, and helped labs avoid IT headaches altogether.

A few years later, Peter met Mark from Cardiobase—a fellow problem-solver with a knack for making hospital systems talk to each other. They shared the same down-to-earth approach to technology: solve real problems, don’t overcomplicate things, and always put the customer first.

Since joining forces, Cardiobase has helped take Rezibase even further—moving it to the cloud, expanding integration across devices and hospital systems, and launching in the NHS. Today, Rezibase is Australia’s most advanced respiratory and sleep solution.

But at its heart, it’s still true to what Peter and Jeff set out to do from the start: make life easier for scientists, so they can get back to what really matters—looking after patients.
